SiteAdmin is the used to manage a Site5 web hosting account.

It allows you to manage all aspects of a hosting account, including email, FTP, CGI and scripting, your account password, site statistics, access logs and many other features. SiteAdmin also includes a web-based file manager that can serve as a substitute for FTP when performing simple site management tasks.

To get started with SiteAdmin, login to your Site5 Backstage account and click the SiteAdmin tab.

Select the site that you would like to manage (unless you have a MultiSite™ enabled account, you will probably only have one site listed) and you will be taken to that site's SiteAdmin interface, as shown in these thumbnails.

What ports should I have open on my firewall to access the control panel and webmail features?

You should have the following ports open to use the control panel and/or webmail. Blocking these ports may cause page not found errors or refuse to allow authentication for access to a feature;

  • 2082 (non-SSL control panel port — using http://)
  • 2083 (SSL control panel port — using https://)
  • 2095 (non SSL webmail port)
  • 2096 (SSL webmail port)

Note: Be sure you use your IP address in place of the domain, if your domain is not yet pointing to our services.

Note: If you are behind a corporate firewall and need to access your control panel or webmail on the default web port (80), you should look into CpanelProxy for a solution. While we don't officially support this script, people have reported it solves their problems if they are behind a firewall that they don't control.
