Site5Wiki:Create a Subcategory

1. Type the desired subcategory into the wiki search box on the left-hand side, in the toolbar. Type it in the wiki convention:

Category:desired_subcategory's_name , with no spaces between Category, the colon, and the subcategory's title.

2. Either press the Enter key on your keyboard, or click the Go button, rather than the Search button.

3. You will be presented with the offer to create this category. Simply click on that link.

4. Now you should have the edit page opened, entitled Editing Category:desired_subcategory's_name, with no data entered into the editing box. In the editing box, enter the name of this subcategory's parent category or categories, in the normal naming convention:

[[Category:Title_of_Category]]

5. Into the Summary field at the bottom, please type simply that you created this subcategory, then click the Save page button.

6. When your saved page refreshes, click on the title of the parent category. When its page appears, your new subcategory should be listed as such at the top of the page.
