Modify MySQL Databases via Site5's Control Panels

Add, Remove, or Modify a MySQL Database

203915794_fa12e97027_o.jpg To add or modify a MySQL database, simply click on the pictured menu within SiteAdmin to open its submenu as shown.

If you click on Manage Databases, the screen at the right will show, in order:

  • the list of, and options for, Existing MySQL databases;
  • the below form to Create MySQL database;

  • the option to Grant database access to a host/IP.

Although the process may seem intimidating at first thought, it is as really simple as it appears: fill out the form necessary, click the confirmation button, then receive a screen acknowledging the account's change.

Image:Exclamation.png InnoDB Warning: Some servers in the Site5 fleet offer InnoDB tables. InnoDB is not the normal (default) table type used within MySQL. Due to incompatibility with our backup/restore process, InnoDB-based databases are not currently backed up. Customers are able to use InnoDB at their own risk and are responsible for backing up their InnoDB databases.

  • the list of, and options for, existing MySQL users;
