Projects
There are two ways to help develop new versions, even if you are not a programmer:
- Add to the idea list, or vote on others' ideas for updates; or
- Kvetch about problems that need to be fixed before a new version can earn its new versioning number. Yes, the developers are inviting you to complain.

Habari
Habari is also a port, so to speak, of WordPress—a stripping-down then building back up, much like digital boot camp.

Lyceum
Lyceum is the newest of these listed projects; it's a fork of WordPress, allowing multiple blogs under the same installation. The exciting part—for us geeks, at least—is that it was created and is being developed by the esteemed research and information site, ibiblio.org.
This project was profiled in Issue 19 of Red Hat magazine, by John Joseph Bachir.
