Sometimes we geeks will refer to one or another of our personal computers as a "box", as in "my Linux box" or "my Windows box". In doing so, we usually mean not only the computer's case, but the whole kit-and-kaboodle: all accessories and peripherals that form, in our mind, that one computer.
